આવી જ એક ક્ષણ હોય, સામે અષાઢ ઘન હોય,
ફણગો ફૂટે અડકતાં જ, ભીનો ભીનો પવન હોય
જે તે ચણ્યું ગમે ના, કાચું પીમળતું વન હોય,
ઊગી જવાય વાડે, જો આ ક્ષણે વતન હોય
જામીય જાય મૂળિયાં, જો થોડું બાળપણ હોય,
સિમેન્ટમાં ઢંઢં છું, એકાદ મિટ્ટીકણ હોય
ઠરવા ચાહે છે આંખો, હરિયાળું ક્યાંક તૃણ હોય,
બોલાવે ઘેર સાંજે, બા ના સમું સ્વજન હોય.
